In the second spell Tavua came out a different team.
The pressure allowed them to bridge the gap by a own goal by Nasinu’s Ashwin Chand in the 84th minute.
Nippy midfielder Laisiasa Vosailagi had the last laugh in the 90th minute when he scored through a penalty after Tavua’s Waisake Ratoto made a deliberate handball inside the corner while defending.
Comments: Nasinu coach Abdul Zaman said, “We came to win three points and we manage to get that. The surface was very tough and the weather was another thing but we look forward to our match against Vatukoula tomorrow (today).”
Tavua coach Savenaca Bese said, “It was a good match.
“We came back strong in the second spell but we need to play many games together.
“However, Nasinu is a tough team from the begging but I thank the boys for their performance.”
