A new winner will be crowned in the Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League Under-19 category.
This was after defending champions Nasinu Secondary School was thumped in the quarterfinal yesterday.
Ba Provincial High School thrashed Nasinu 20-7 to qualify for the semifinal at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.
FSSRL co-ordinator Biu Colati said the quarterfinal match between the Ba and Nasinu was exciting.
“It was a big upset seeing the defending champions booted out in the quarterfinal,’’ said Colati.
Colati says, Ba team players showed their consistency, read the game well and executed their plan accordingly which gave them the big win.
“Now we need to see how they will perform in the semifinal rounds and if they are fit and maintain their consistency they can win,’’ Colati said.
