The Nadi Rugby Union games committee is concerned with the number of matches won by defaults (wbd) after poor turnout last Saturday.
Union media liaison Rusiate Ratakele says club management should inform the team of the weekly competitions.
“It’s unfortunate that some clubs did not turn up and resulted in other clubs winning by default,” Ratakele said.
“Three teams won by defaults in round one and some in round two too with some team not even showing up.”
He said all clubs have received a copy of the NRU rules and regulation.
“All clubs have been issued with a 2014 NRU Year Planner and draws for the Club Competition. There are disciplinary measures that the club managers need to know in regards to defaults,” he added.
Ratakele said club managers are to contact the chairman of the games committee (Ilimeleki Navula) to know of the weekly draws.
Meanwhile, the Kelepi Ketedromo-captained Nadi side hammered Lautoka 29- 9 to retain the annual Tui Vuda Challenge trophy at Churchill Park in Lautoka last Saturday.
