Rumblings about Rabuka, Qarase
Seems like rumbling on social media about Sitiveni Rabuka’s pledge to support SODELPA is heating up.
Some who support this party feel that the 1987 coup maker and former PM will be a liability.
How much importance the party will give him is yet to be seen.
Questions too on social media about fellow ex-PM Laisenia Qarase’s role with SODELPA.
Mr Qarase seems to be leading the SODELPA charge despite being disqualified from standing because of his abuse of office conviction.

QUESTION OF SIGNATURES
The proposed Fiji United Freedom Party seems to be fighting another uphill battle.
We hear that when the party tried to be registered under proposed National Youth Party name, it was rejected.
The second time around, it is claimed that instead of getting new signatures for the proposed Fiji United Freedom Party they might have used some proposed National Youth Party signatures. Any truth in this?

NEW PAPER
NEAR POLL
A new weekly national newspaper is on the cards for Fiji. We hear that this will focus on in-depth coverage.
If word on the street is true than the first issue could be out before the elections and focus on two explosive issues – National Bank of Fiji saga and the 2000 coup.
