RC Manubhai Suva will be stepping up preparations ahead of their semifinal clash against champions BLK Nadroga in the Skipper Cup competition.
Suva Rugby Union president John O’Connor has requested all club reps in the Suva team to be released for training this week.
“Our focus will now turn to the preparation of the team in preparation for the semifinal clash against Nadroga,” O’Connor said.
“We will be stepping up training this week and we are seeking your assistance in releasing and encouraging all the Suva rugby reps to attend training.”
RC Manubhai Suva beat Vatukoula last weekend 33-29 to secure their spot in the semifinals as they sit in fourth place with 37 points.
O’Connor has also announced the deferring of midweek club games because of training for the team.
“Because of the need to step up our preparation and for all Suva Rugby players to attend training for the Suva team, all the midweek club games scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday (today), have been deferred and will be played at a later date.”
RC Manubhai Suva will face BLK Nadroga on August 9 – next week.
