The Office of the Prime Minister has launched its new logo symbolising unity and commitment towards the people and the nation.
While launching the logo at the Parliament complex, Permanent Secretary Pio Tikoduadua has called his team to carry the logo with pride.
“The logo is a critical component of the Office of the Prime Minister,” Mr Tikoduadua said.
“The logo tries to represent in many ways what we are about and the functions and the services of the Office of the Prime Minister.
“We had a process that was put together by the team to try and share what people think would best represent the office.”
The blue logo comprises the letters ‘opm’ in small letters meaning the Office of the Prime Minister with the Fiji flag and the map of Fiji in a globe
“There is a connection of the letters ‘opm’ which shows how we are connected and is soft in the sense that it is in smaller letters joined together, signifying in a particular way the unity that is supposed to be of the team which reflects the Prime Minister,” Mr Tikoduadua said. “There is a combined use of the flag and the map of Fiji in the globe which is in the heart of letter ‘p’ which is really where the heart of service is, it belongs to the people of Fiji in the first instance before anything else.”
