Organisers for the Vodafone Fiji Football Association FUTSAL League in the North hope to make the competition a regular event.
The competition was staged at the Fiji Sugar Corporation ground in Labasa on Thursday night.
Kamendra Naidu says the only difficulty they face is the proper venue for the competition.
“We are thankful to FSC general manager Karia Christopher for his support,”Naidu said.
Naidu is requesting Fiji FA to fund playing facilities for FUTSAL.
“There are a lot of good players in Vanua Levu and we want to develop FUTSAL properly,”Naidu said.
“This event will also help us in forming a Labasa team so that we can take part in the Fiji FA competitions.”
