Bob Parra

InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa appointed Bob Parra as its Business Development Director for North America.
No stranger to the Fijian market, Mr Parra held several positions with national carrier Fiji Airways over the past 13 years, his last role being Area Sales Manager West Coast.
With 20 years of marketing and business development experience, Mr Parra is believed to have an invaluable understanding of leisure and groups across multiple niches.
In his new role, Mr Parra will be responsible for the resort’s strategic sales objectives in the North American market, and will be the in-market point of contact for all training and sales-related opportunities.
Director of Sales, Hudson Mitchell, said: “Bob’s passion and understanding of Fiji makes him a valuable asset to the InterContinental Fiji family.
“As a largely untapped market for Fiji, we anticipate exciting times ahead in the North American market.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Bob to the team and we’re looking forward to the opportunities this emerging market presents.”
Mr Parra’s appointment seems well-timed. It comes on the backdrop of Tourism Fiji’s latest initiatives to kick-start tourism activity in the North America.
This is also while Fiji Airways’ has announced daily flights to Nadi from Los Angeles.
