Political fledgling, the United Freedom Party, has endorsed its own internal management structure as it prepares to field candidates for the 2014 General Elections.
The party has invited applications from interested and qualified members of the public for the positions of the main office bearers:
President, two vice presidents, general secretary, assistant general secretary, treasurer, assistant Treasurer and 8 focus group heads.
According to current party president Mr Karunaratne, the office bearers can also hold leadership positions and also be part of the NEC.
Mr Karunaratne said the party would have an apolitical advisory committee that would be formulated with national leaders from traditional, religious and ethnic backgrounds to represent all community segments of the society.
According to Mr Karunaratne, The party would also have three leaders to clearly focus on key areas of the society.
n Leader (State, National/International and current affairs)
n Leader (Ethnic affairs)
n Leader (Religious, education and welfare)
According to the party, all positions were available to the general public and the party has invited suitable individuals to come forward once the vision, mission and the values of the party are announced.
