National Federation Party candidate nominee Pramod Rae says one of the best ways to change the constitution is to make sure no FijiFirst member is elected next month.
He spoke at a National Federation Party (NFP) campaign meeting at Veisari on Thursday night.
Mr Rae was responding to a question raised by a resident regarding what they were going to do about the 2013 Constitution if they were voted into Parliament.
He said the answer lay in the hands of the people of Fiji.
“If people vote FijiFirst party into Government, they are saying that they support the Constitution and they like everything that is done against them.
“Thus, if the people ensure that no FijiFirst member is elected that itself is the message that we can throw out this Constitution and replace it with a just and fair one, ”Mr Rae said.
About 25 people attended the meeting.
