Vodafone expands 4G reach

Vodafone is expected to take its 4G coverage nationwide in the next few days as it marked a major milestone with the signing of its 100 thousandth 4G subscriber.
Vodafone Fiji chief executive, Pradeep Lal, said: “It has been a phenomenal uptake on our 4G services.
“We only launched our 4G services in December last year and to be able to welcome on board our 100,000th subscriber in just seven months is way beyond expectation.
“This certainly goes to show that there is big demand and appetite for faster 4G broadband connectivity.
“Customers who have experienced our 4G connectivity have been most impressed with the blazing speeds of 4G broadband.
“The word is around about the fastest broadband connectivity available through our 4G network and businesses and individuals have been signing up and upgrading to our 4G plans in hoards.”
The 4G network coverage will extend to Navua, Pacific Harbor, Sigatoka, Nadi,Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki and Korovou.
Also for the first time 4G services would be made available in Vanua Levu covering Labasa, Savusavu and Tavueni.
Prominent businessmen and Supreme Fuel managing director from Rakiraki, Rajesh Patel, said: “This is great news for businesses and individuals in Rakiraki and Tavua and also for thewhole of Fiji.
“We have already seen the productivity gains for businesses through faster internet connectivity offered through Vodafone’s 3G network.
“To now have 4G coverage throughout Fiji and here is Rakiraki and Tavia in particular puts us on par with the rest of the world with the latest and fastest broadband internet connection. We congratulate Vodafone on this milestone achievement.”
Mr Lal said: “We are please to take our 4G services nationwide to provide our customers throughout Fiji the amazing speeds available through 4G.
“The recent network upgrade by Vodafone Fiji has been to increase capacity and coverage of 4G network to meet the huge and growing demand for 4G LTE services.
