Fiji Airways has signed a contract with Amadeus, a leading technology provider for the global travel industry, which ensures travel agencies in Pacific and around the world can search and book the full range of Fiji Airways fares via Amadeus.

Amadeus-connected travel agents now have access to the same range of air fares that Fiji Airways offers through all its sales channels.

Fiji Airways managing director/chief executive, Stefan Pichler, said Amadeus’ extensive global travel agency network covering 195 countries made them an ideal distribution partner.

“We want to put Fiji on the global map. We have to make sure that our growing network and our attractive fares are available everywhere around the globe for sale,” he said.

“We’re confident this new deal with the global reservation system Amadeus will boost our worldwide sales, which is a key component of our five year growth plan.”

Amadeus IT Pacific managing director, Tony Carter, said: “Our goal is to continually improve the content we offer our travel agency network in the Pacific region and this agreement is proof of that.

“We are thrilled to partner with Fiji Airways to deliver great airline content to our travel agency customers.”
