Korean Musical Concert in Suva

‘Arirang & Isa Lei’, a music concert staged by the Korean Embassy in Fiji in Suva today, is to celebrate the friendly relations between Fiji and Korea

This follows the successful performance by Korean folk music singer, Hyung-Ju Yoon, in Nadi last Saturday.

Together with him will be the Fiji’s Lagilagi Choral Choir and Pasifika Voices.

The three-hour concert will present a variety of music ranging from classic to pop as well as the Korean traditional flower crown dance (hwa-gwan-mu). There will also be the Korean mask dance drama (tal-chum) and the Korean traditional fan dance (bu-chae-chum) to bring Korea to Fiji through music and dance.

Mr Hyung-Ju Yoon once translated Fiji’s famous ‘Isa Lei’ into a Korean song ‘Our Story’.
