Marist Brothers High School and Lelean Memorial School Under-17 side will meet for the second time at Churchill Park in Lautoka. They meet again on Saturday in the  during the Fiji Secondary Schools Coke Zero finals.

They first met in 2012 in the U15 grade where Marist won 29-16  at Churchill Park.

Marist captain Simione Matanitobua said even though they had been undefeated since the U14 grade, they would not  call themselves the ‘Marist dream team’ because the match would  be tougher than their last encounter.

“We just want to call ourselves Marist U17 team and not dream team since this is an U17 final and it will be a different playing field altogether  compared to the previous years and we know LMS will be strong to face this Saturday. They have dominated the Eastern zone and they will not want to lose in Lautoka this Saturday since this is our second meet at Churchill Park.

“They will want to come out strongly,” Matanitobua said.

Marist U17 vice-captain Sakiusa Waqa said they respected the Davuilevu side.

He is calling for their supporters to turn up in numbers at the Sugar City.

“We respect LMS. This is another standard of rugby and we urge our western supporters to come out in numbers and support the side,” Waqa said.

Meanwhile, LMS captain Taniela Cama said even though Marist had a winning record, they would  be out to stop them on Saturday.

“We respect them as champions they have been winning and have created records, but records are meant to be broken and if God is on our side, who can be against us?” Cama said.

The Tovu, Totoya, Lau native is looking forward to a good match.

“This will be an interesting match and we are calling on all LMS supporters to come out and support us,” he said.
The U17 match between LMS and Marist will kick off at 11:45am at Churchill Park, Lautoka.
