We can only pray: Ro Teimumu

We can only pray for the results of the 2014 elections, says the leader of the Social Democratic Liberal Party.
Responding to a question last night at a campaign meeting in Nabudrau Village, Rewa, Ro Teimumu Kepa said the elections were not about elevating her into public office.
“This is really about the people of this country, the vanua and God,’’ she said.
She also responded to a villager who expressed concern about the security and integrity of the ballot boxes for the September 17 polling day.
“We don’t have the Commonwealth and the European Union observers like we had before. It’s going to be hard but we really can’t dictate anything to this government,’’ she said.
Australia, India, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia lead a 14-nation observer mission. The European Union said it was unable to be part of this.
More than 100 people turned out to hear the Rewa high chief speak at the Nabudrau Village Hall. Also present were the Rewa Youth Group who presented entertainment.
The proceedings were streamed live to supporters around the globe.
