The popularity of the 2014 Coke Zero Deans finals proved undeniable after Churchill Park was filled to capacity last Saturday.

Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union president NapolioniSilatolu confirmed this.

“There was no space left inside the stadium which just shows how many people actually follow high school rugby.

Silatolu said the competition was a success overall with smooth operations from the start right up to the Under-18 final,” he said.

“Churchill Park was a great venue and I think that it was important to have it there too because our audience is not exclusively Suva-based.

“The weather was the best we could ask for and the crowd had a really good temperament.

“Another great highlight was the live broadcast of all the games from the Under-14 right through to the premier Under-18 match.”

The results of the 2014 Coke Zero Deans are as follows: U14- QVS 21-19 Marist; U15- QVS 12-3 RatuNavula; U16- Marist 16-7 Natabua; U17- Marist 25-18; U18-Lelean 13-8 RKS; U19- RKS 18-7 Lomaivuna.
