Fiji’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola and his New Zealand counterpart Murray McCully meet in Nadi this Friday, after a lapse of almost seven years.

During the high-level consultation, the two ministers are expected to discuss a wide range of bilateral, regional and multilateral issues of importance to their countries. While responding to questions by the Fiji Sun, Ratu Inoke said an update on Fiji’s election progress and the multinational observer group were expected to be a central part of the consultation.

Other issues likely to be on the agenda are the development co-operation arrangements between the two countries, preparations for the third international conference on Small Island Developing States to be held in Samoa next month, as well as regional institutions and interests.”
