Presiding officers who will look after polling stations in Labasa on September 17 will conclude their month- long training this week.

Yesterday, over 20 presiding officers went through a mock set-up of a polling station enacting various scenarios.

The training was led by VenianaBolatakeu and assisted by Paula Rabakewa.

Mrs Bolatakeu reminded the officers during the mock set-up to be serious about the exercise.

“For those issuing the ballot paper, as a presiding officer you will need someone who is articulate.”

The training team from the Fijian Elections Office in Suva had been in Labasa this past month to conduct training.

The training took place at the Kshatriya Hall.
