A 26-year-old woman of Samabula was given another chance by the Suva Magistrates court to reform.

This was after she was handed down a suspended sentence by the Suva Magistrates court for forging a false University of the South Pacific certificate to get a position as a secondary school teacher.

MeenakshiSwamy who appeared before Magistrate ShageethSomaratne was charged with one count of forgery and another count of using forged documents.

Magistrate Somaratne then handed down a suspended sentence as the accused was a first and young offender, has refunded the money she has obtained and has sought forgiveness and pleading guilty as the first available opportunity.

She was sentenced to 12 months suspended for one year and was given another chance to reform.
