The David Ali-coached 4R Electrical Ba team aims to win their 17th Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants title at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this weekend.

The Men in Black will play Lautoka in the first semifinal at 2pm on Saturday.

In the second semifinal the Gurjit Singh- coached Suva meets Rewa at 4pm. Ba came out as Pool B winners with more goals scored moving Rewa as runner-up.

Rewa defeated Nadi 1-0 while Ba thumped Labasa 4-1 at Govind Park, Ba.

Suva remained undefeated to top Pool A relegating Lautoka to runner spot as they are running for their second B.O.G. title win since 1985.

What happened:

Ba is on track to win its record 17th title in the last pool match.

The Men in Black started with a bang with Shameel Rao beating Labasa goalkeeper Ratu Wawatabua in the 1st minute.

The team as usual kept on applying the pressure and resulted in the second goal in the 23rd minute by nippy striker Abbu Zahid.

Halftime: Ba 2- Labasa 0.

Labasa managed to pull one back from Krishneel Krishna in the 73rd minute.

In the 82nd minute Samuela Nabenia landed a goal past Labasa goalie, Epeli Loaniceva.

In the final minute of extra spell Avinesh Warran Suwamy had the last laugh after he beat Loaniceva with a classic goal.

Star Turn:

Samuela Nabenia stood out.

Big Play:

Shameel Rao played a good game and was instrumental in the win.

Labasa coach Bal Reddy: “I knew that the game would be tough because Ba needed to win the game.”
