Members of the Centenary Church in Suva were reminded yesterday on the importance of making choices.

The former Methodist Church president in the United Kingdom, Reverend Stephen Poxon, in his sermon stated how Jesus stressed the importance of carrying our own crosses.

“We are all sinners but it is God’s grace that we able to be saved,” Reverend Poxon.

More than 65 people were part of the morning service at Centenary. The church service is the build-up to the ‘Bose ko Viti’ or annual conference today at the church until Friday August 29.

The service also comes after the week-long golden jubilee celebration at Furnival Park, Toorak.

The conference will address issues like the renovation of the Reverend Baker Hall in Davuilevu, Nausori, and other issues concerning the future and welfare of the church and its members.
