Today will see the grade champions of the 2014 Tuckers Ice Cream Fiji Secondary School basketball being awarded for their effort.

There will be a new winner for the girls’ Under-15 grade after defending champions DAV girls failed to reach the semifinals.

Defending boys champion Latter Day Saints School (LDS) is on track to retain their title after their U19 team qualified for the quarterfinals and will meet John Wesley College. Their U17 team meets Edupia in the second semifinal and their U15 will play against the winner from the playoff match between Marist and Tilak at 8:30am today.

Defending U19 girls champion Adi Cakobau School meets favourites St Joseph’s Secondary School (SJSS) in the second semi final today while defending U17 champions, SJSS meets Laucala Bay Secondary School in the second U17 semifinal.

Fixtures;

8:30am; U19 Boys Quaterfinals; JNC vs Yat Sen (C1), U19; JWC vs LDS (C2), ISS vs Natabua (C3)

9:30am; LBSS vs Tilak.

U15 girl’s semi finals; 10:30am; Gospel vs Natabua, LDS vs SGS

U15 boys semi finals; Yat Sen vs Natabua, LDS vs (Winner from MBHS vs Tilak game at 8:30am)

U17 girls semi finals; 11:50am; LDS vs DAV, LBSS vs SJSS

U17 boys semi finals; 12:30pm; Natabua vs Marist, Edupia vs LDS

U19 girls semi finals; 2:10pm; Natabua vs Yat Sen, ACS vs SJSS
