Crisis centre set up for Golan-affected families

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces has established a crisis management centre at its Officer Training School in Viria Road, Vatuwaqa

This centre, according to the Commander of the RFMF, Brigadier-General Mosese Tikoitoga, is specifically for the 44 families affected by the Golan Heights crisis.

Crisis-centre2At a press conference at his office at Berkley Crescent yesterday he said the centre would have information on the held 44 soldiers.

“All new developments will be displayed there,” he said.

He said experts in the field of crisis would be readily available at the centre to offer help to families affected. Brigadier-General Tikoitoga urges all families affected to use the centre. He says this is a place where they can air all their problems to the experts and they will give the best solution.

The Commander said all the affected families had been informed.

Now, he said, it was time to share the problems and the RFMF would not like to see some withholding their problems to themselves.

He clarified yesterday that 44 soldiers were captured and not 43 as said by the United Nations.
