A large crowd at yesterday’s FijiFirst family fun day at Syria Park in Nausori inspired FijiFirst candidate and Paralympic gold medallist IliesaDelana.

Mr Delana was among the FijiFirst candidates in Nausori to speak and mingle with supporters during the party’s fun day.

“Today’s turnout shows how much people support FijiFirst when they come out in numbers and I can also see around here some people are with crutches, some people with disabilities,” Mr Delana said.

“I think this is an inclusive community that supports this party and this is what we want.

“Of course this is a great source of motivation and we also have here a band made up of totally blind people and also encourage other people and we can say that we are being included.”

He also confirmed that he had been holding successful talks with disability communities.

“A lot of people living with disability in the country are very happy as a person with disability there is someone representing them in the political arena,” he said.

Meanwhile, a FijiFirst supporter JoneTunidau, 60 of Buretu, Tailevu hailed the leadership by the FijiFirst party leader saying he was a leader bestowed to the people by God.

“I just want to let Fiji know about this great man that there has never been a past leader that was like him; he thinks about everyone and all our needs are met through the assistance they have been giving the people.

“I don’t know why some people hate him after what he has done for us; this time we should not listen to what is being said but we should see what they done,” Mr Tunidau said.

“People should not be persuaded by words spread by all these political parties but we should look at the developments that have been taking place and we are able to see a light in Fiji because God has sent a leader to serve us the people of Fiji so we should give him another chance to lead the country in the next five years.”

Hundreds of party supporters were present at the fun day.
