The Fesaitu Kamoe-captained Fiji Tennis team will take part in the Pacific Oceania Championships in Cairns, Australia this week.

Junior players, Raynal Singh, Kunal Datt, Prasund Lal, Devrath Narayan, Mulan Kamoe, Ruby Coffin departed last week.

Coach Sachin Reddy says the team is optimistic of a good outing.

Reddy said overseas tours started last year after a lapse of 20 years and he thanked the players’ parents and sponsors, Consumers Supermarket for their support to make this tour happen.

“These tours give our players the exposure to the talents of players in Australia and the Pacific region.

“After the Cairns tour we will start preparing for our Vanuatu tour in December.”
