The 39th Fiji Primary Schools Under-14 Inter-District Championship and U12 playoffs will be held next Wednesday to Friday at the ANZ Stadium.

Fiji Primary Schools Soccer Association secretary Narendra Rao confirmed the number of participating teams in the U14 grades have increased to 20 while eight districts will take part in the U12 category.

“We are anticipating an exciting match this year looking at the increasing number of teams ,”Rao said

“We want the best for our players that is why we have booked the ANZ Stadium for these young boys to compete in.

“Even though the venue might be expensive but it will be worth it as these young boys need to play on proper turf.”

For the U12 grade, Navosa is the new team in the competition and Southerners Navua is the defending champion of the grade.

“We want to thank Fiji Football for their assistance and also Ministry of Education and we are expecting a good turnout next week,”Rao said.

“I’m requesting parents and supporters to show up in numbers and support their children who will be future football players for Fiji,” he said.

Pools:

U12- Pool A; Nadogo, Navua, Tavua and Lautoka.

Pool B; Ba, Navosa, Dreketi, Rewa.

U14- Pool A; Labasa, Rakiraki, Seaqaqa, Nadroga, Rewa.

Pool B-Lautoka, Ba, Dreketi, Nadi, Navua.

Pool C- Tavua, Nadogo, Bua, Nadroga, Tailevu.WW

Pool D-Nasinu, Nalawa, Savusavu, Navosa, Suva.
