Supporters of the Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) have wished the party all the best for the September 17 elections during the party‘s rally in Nadi yesterday.

However, the rally had a poor turnout with less than 50 party supporters in attendance.

Party supporter Falisha Qumi insisted the support for the party was there.

She said party supporters have a busy schedule.

But she outlined that the support for SODELPA had increased after understanding the mission and the goals highlighted in their manifesto.

“The policies highlighted in SODELPA manifesto of reinstating the Great Council of Chiefs is the top agenda talked about these days,’’ she said.

“Our chiefs have a special place and the GCC should be reinstated and should be allowed to meet for the betterment of the indigenous Fijians just like the old times.”

She believes the SODELPA’s policies include every individual in Fiji.

Semi Tagirara, 57 an interior designer says the SODELPA party will return the rights of indigenous Fijians once they form a Government.
