Bau chief Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi wishes Fijians the best for the general elections. The new Nauru chief justice was farewelled last Saturday by members of the Vusaratu clan in Bau.

Bau chief Ratu Joni Madraiwiwi wishes Fijians the best for the general elections.

The new Nauru chief justice was farewelled last Saturday by members of the Vusaratu clan in Bau. He is expected to take up his appointment this week.

Ratu Joni also provides legal advice to Tonga’s King George Tupou VI for the settlement of disputes over noble titles.

Ratu Joni hopes the elections would be done smoothly. “I think my wish and everyone’s wish that the elected government would work together for the betterment of this country and to promote reconciliation,” he said.

Ratu Joni will serve for three years in Nauru.
