There would be four pre-poll stations operating today throughout the country with an expectation of 452 voters casting their votes.

Only one pre-poll station would be operation on Monday in the Western Division with an expectation of eight voters casting their votes.

Yesterday there were 21 pre-polling stations operational throughout the country with approximately 2447 voters casting the ballots.

The Fijian Elections office had so far recorded good voter turnout with the highest averaging to 84 per cent from the Central Division.

Supervisor of Elections Mohammed Saneem said they were still waiting for some data from the northern and the western divisions to be able to give an accurate statistic.

“Northern with some data yet to be received is on 76 per cent whilst the west is running on 71 per cent and some data is also to be received from the Western Division,” he said.

Vessels from the Eastern Division have already started to return to Suva with some already here and some to arrive today.

The Elections Office is expected to provide full statistics on Monday.
