It will be an interesting 2014 Courts Inter- District Championship at the ANZ Stadium, Suva next month.

This was after the pool draws were done at the Courts Mega-Samabula.

Reigning Courts IDC champions Ba have been drawn into the same pool with this year’s Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants winner Rewa while  hosts Suva have been drawn with Fiji FACT winners Nadi.

Ba is in Pool A  with Lautoka, Rewa and Nadroga while Suva has Labasa, Nadi and Navua in Pool B. All Freight Logistics Suva has won the Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League and is the first Southern team to qualify for the Oceania League and coach Gurjit Singh said both pools look tough and with this tournament being the biggest competition for the season, no teams can be taken lightly.

“All the teams will be hard to beat and we can’t say any pool is weak. All the teams will be prepared because they all want to win,” Singh said.

“We have been pooled with Labasa and Nadi who have been doing very well so our pool will be extra tough.

“We have to really prepare hard for this IDC if we want to win.”

In the Premier Division, Pool A consists of Nadogo, Savusavu and Rakiraki, Pool B; Bua, Taveuni and Tavua, Pool C; Dreketi, Tailevu North, Tailevu Naitasiri and Lami while Pool D features Seqaqa, Vatukoula and Nasinu.

Tailevu-Naitasiri will be in Pool C of the Premier Division until the team who is relegated from the Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League is decided.

Winner of the Super Premier Division will get $18,000 while the winner of the Premier Division will get $6000 which is an increase from last year.

“The Super premier will be played in 90minutes. There will also be a few changes to format of the competition,” Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel said.
