Novotel Nadi was on fire when Makare released their second album Taura Tale.  It was a jam-packed as music lovers stormed the arena to have a glimpse and hear live music performed by the great local musician.

Band manageress Tia Koroi said the album is about returning to their fans request.

“To bring sounds and beats of the days gone into today’s context,” she said.

“Whilst the country is engaging in a political debate, Makare is introducing messages that are profound and directed towards reflection of the past and from there re-creating a space for future potentials as individuals and as a nation.” Makare – creates new collaborative and contemporary works by resurrecting the beautiful songs of past days and sounds of Fiji.

The band member are: William ‘Bigwilz’ Waqanibaravi, Simione Rova, Phil Dakei, Felix Chaudhary, Grant Douglas, and Marika Nasogege.

Makare will be travelling to Australia next month for the Fiji Day celebration.
