It was more or less a completion of the formalities for Gurjit Singh’s boys as they secured yet another win after defeating Lautoka yesterday during Round 13 of the 2014 Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League.

In the battle of the two cities, both teams got off to a rather slow start with neither team registering any goals in the first half.

Halftime: All Freight Logistics Suva 0-0 Lautoka

In the usual fashion of the game, one team emerges from halftime with a determined spirit to break the deadlock.

And this time it turned out to be Suva’s Ravinesh Karan Singh who drew first blood.

However, it was Emori Ragata who would deliver the winning goal that only added to Suva’s comfortable reign.

Fulltime: All Freight Logistics Suva 2-0 Lautoka

Star turn:

Singh and Ragata did well to pull their team out of the deadlock and add more points to their well-stacked tally as the winners of the 2014 Fiji Sun/Skipper Cup National Football League.

Big play:

Despite the capital side’s victory, the Blues also gave a spirited performance and did well considering all their star players were on rest.

Comments:

Suva head coach Gurjit Singh, “Even though we’ve already won the league, it’s still good to win this game as we treat every game equally and it we’re very happy to add more points to our table.”

Lautoka head coach Lambert Sarju, “Basically this was not the same team as the team from the B.O.G tournament. We rested all our B.O.G players being our top team and fielded all those on the bench.

“We had some chances to score, Suva had some chances to score and we really had nothing to lose so this was not a total disappointment. Our preparation now turns to the IDC.”
