The Telecom B-division rugby competition needs more support and attention, says Samu Vadei.

The Telecom Fiji Limited general manager made the comment after the final between Handy Finance Naitasiri North Bulls and Bligh Water Shipping Cakaudrove at Lawaqa Park last Saturday. Bulls won 18-5.

“We’ve seen the many positive changes rugby can bring to the players who are getting good money playing overseas,”Vadei said.

“We’re often pre-occupied with the major Union competition and tend to neglect the B-Division and the amazing pool of talent this division has to offer. Congratulations to Naitasiri North Bulls and we wish them well in the HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge.” Bligh Water Shipping Cakaudrove team manager Taraiyasi Wara acknowledged the efforts of the team.

Meanwhile, Handy Finance Naitasiri North Bulls Operations Manager Kasiano Waqa dedicated the win to a special group of women.

“This win is for the Gusuisavu Village women’s group who have been catering and caring for the team since Day One.

Naitasiri North Bulls received $5000 and Cakaudrove got $2500.
