Handy Finance Naitasiri Northern Bulls are determined they will give a good account of themselves when they take on reigning champions BLK Nadroga in the HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge this Saturday.

The Bulls were the new champions of the 2014 Telecom B-Division and now have a tough challenge this Saturday, although they remain positive about their chances.

Team manager Kasiano Vusunilawe said the team knew it would be a different ball game altogether and they lifted their preparation from last week.

“We will continue working hard, but with a different level of preparation,” he said.

“Playing against a champion side like Nadroga is not an easy task for us, but it will be a good challenge for the boys since we are in the B-Division.”

Vusunilawe confirmed yesterday that some of their players were injured and were likely to change the line-up this Saturday.

“Few of our players are injured and it is highly likely that we are going to change the line up against Nadroga,” he said.

The Bulls are coached by Ratu Manasa Radrotini, who was the former Naitasiri head coach and helped the Highlanders beat Nadroga in the Farebrother Sullivan challenge in 1998.

Now, after lapse of 13 years, Radrotini is returning to the Farebrother arena assisting the Bulls side.

HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge to be held in Ra

The Fiji Rugby Union has confirmed yesterday that the fourth HFC Bank Farebrother Challenge between Nadroga and Handy Finance Naitasiri North Bulls will be held at the Ra Sports Ground.

FRU chief executive officer Radrodro Tabualevu said this was suggested by the Nadroga Rugby Union and the FRU was happy to oblige with their initiative.

“The Nadroga Rugby Union came up with the initiative to take the game to the people with the inclusion of rugby development and awareness in that region and we are happy to support their initiative,” he said.

Radrodro is calling on fans to turn up in numbers and support both teams.

“We are encouraging all the rugby fans for the Naitasiri North Bulls and the Nadroga team to turn up in numbers to witness the challenge for the HFC Bank Farebrother which will be a thriller of match to watch. This is a rare opportunity to see the champion Nadroga team,” Radrodro said.

The match will kick off at 3pm this Saturday.
