Tamavua-i-wai resident Ajay Kumar was excited after casting his vote yesterday.

“It has been eight years; who is not excited to vote? We all are,” he remarked.

However, Mr Kumar said the new voting process could be a bit complicated for some people.

“For people who are not well- educated and for the elderly, having to scan through the numbers was complicated compared to the past elections where you had party symbols along with the names.”

Mr Kumar said he was grateful that the election has taken place and was optimistic about the future.

“We should move on with our lives and support whatever party that wins the election,” he said.
