Nineteen-year-old Fiji National University student Josh Matthews is eagerly awaiting the results of the election after casting his vote at Nabua yesterday.

The FijiFirst supporter says, “I feel very fortunate to be able to vote for the first time at such a young age. It’s a good opportunity for me to have a say in the 2014 General Election, which will impact my future.”

A make-shift shed was set up at the Mead Road Housing roadside where many other young voters met to share the excitement.

Mr Matthews said; “I am pleased that the Government has reduced the voting age, as this has allowed me to be part of a historical event for the nation.”

He hopes that with a Parliament soon in place, it will upgrade some sporting facilities for various sports in our nation.
