The Eliki Ravosai-captained Shop N Save Nadi team beat Lautoka 2-1 in the Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League last might.

And in their last match of the season, the jetsetters hope Suva beats Ba on Sunday for them to qualify in the 2015 OFC Champions League.

Suva currently leads with 33 points ahead of Nadi (26), Ba (25), Labasa (24) and Rewa (18).

What happened: In the 21st minute Livai Dugucagi beat the Nadi defence to score.

In the 32nd minute Napolioni Qasevakatini’s attempt was not cleared by Zibraaz Shahib which resulted in Ravosai heading in the equaliser.

In the 38th minute Ilimotama Jese increased their lead 2-1 after capitalising on a rebound from Bokini.

Halftime: Nadi 2 – 1 Lautoka.

In the second spell both teams tried their best to score.

Towards the end, Nadi was reduced to 10 men after referee Ravitesh Behari flashed a red card at Rahul Krishna for a foul on Shiron Naidu.

This incident fuelled Nadi fans to confront Behari at fulltime forcing security guards to escort him off the pitch.

Big Play: Lautoka goalkeeper Bokini played well.

Comments:

Nadi team director Javed Ahmed said: “It was a tough match and we are happy with the win. We have done our part as we needed a win and we will wait for the result from the Ba – Suva match.”

Lautoka coach Lambert Sarju said, “We missed a lot of chances. ”
