The Vodafone Fiji 7s squad will need to be at their best on the final day of the 2014 Pacific Energy Ovalau 7s at Nasau Park today.

Vodafone Fiji 7s head coach Ben Ryan praised the players’ performance in their pool games yesterday.

“We have done well in the pool games with the Fiji White scoring 7 and Fiji Black receiving 5 points after a hot day on a hard ground,” Ryan said.

“But what I would like to see if they can maintain the intensity on the final day.”

Fiji White plays St John One in the first Cup quarterfinal match today while Fiji Black will meet Yamacia in third quarterfinal.

Ryan said today would be the real test for his 24 players if they want to make the cut for the Gold Coast 7s next month.

Fiji White thumped Waqavuka Two 40-0, Dakuiovalau 54-0 while Fiji Black defeated Nasaumatua 33-0 and Natubari 52-0.
