Organisers of the 2014 Pacific Energy Ovalau 7s tournament are anticipating an exciting quarterfinal battle at Nasau Park today.

And the focus is on the two Vodafone 7s teams Fiji White and Fiji Black who remained unbeaten yesterday. Also making the cut are the three Ovalau teams Waqavuka One, Tauranga and St John’s One.

Defending champion Wardens Gold is also providing a strong challenge with Yamacia and the Yasawa Tourism Stingers also booking their spot in the quarterfinals.

Tournament organiser Seresio Druguta said day one competition was a success and rugby fans were fortunate to watch the national squad members.

“The Viti Levu teams have really proved themselves showcasing good skills and techniques,” Druguta said.

“We had a really good turnout and we acknowledge major sponsor Pacific Energy and Teivovo Magazine for their continuous support.”

The quarterfinalists are Fiji White-St John’s One, Wardens-Tauranga, Fiji Black- Yamacia and Waqavuka One-Yasawa Tourism Stingers.
