Felix Anthony Considers Future

People’s Democratic Party leader Felix Anthony is mulling over his future after no PDP candidate won a seat in Parliament.
In official results confirmed last night as counting continued the party had won just 3.2 percent of the vote.
Should he remain as leader or return to his trade union job?
Mr Anthony resigned as general secretary of the Fiji Sugar and General Workers Union and Fiji Trades Union Congress to become PDP leader.
On Friday, when PDP general secretary Aman Ravindra Singh was approached by the Fiji Sun, he said there would be a press conference yesterday. But the press conference was cancelled and no reason was given.
It is understood that Mr Anthony has not made up his mind yet.
When he took over as leader Mr Anthony criticised the Political Parties Decree because it compelled him to resign from his trade union job. He never hid his passion for trade unionism. He said he would always champion the workers’ rights, the poor and the needy.
Those close to Mr Anthony said he would be more useful if he was back in his old job.
