Rewa 1 (Peniame Drova) Nadroga 0

What Happened:

Rewa ended their Fiji Sun/Skipper Tuna National Football League season with a 1-0 win over  Nadroga at Ratu Cakobau Park, Nausori yesterday.

Rewa dominated the first half which resulted in Peniame Drova scoring.

Halftime: Rewa1-0 Nadroga

Both teams came back refreshed in the second spell but again failed to score any goals.

Star turn: Goalkeepers Simione Tamanisau and Alifereti Baleloa were the stars of game.

Big play: The defence showed by both teams was relentless.

Comments:

Nadroga coach Joseph Nand said, “Despite the loss I’m proud of the performance and it goes to show that there are still areas we need to improve on.”

Rewa coach Marika Rodu said, “I fielded five new players and I got the chance to see how they perform. I’m happy with their performance but they need more game time. We treated this game as a build up match to the Courts Inter-District Championship and it has helped me identify areas we need to work on more.”
