Graduating students from the University of the South Pacific (USP) School of Tourism and Hospitality Management will be part of a career fair to be held on Friday.

The 2014 USP’s School of Tourism and Hospitality careers fair will be held at the Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa.

The co-ordinator of the hotel management programme at USP, Greg Cornwall, says the event is an opportunity for university graduates to gain ideas about potential career paths.

“It is also an opportunity for employers to seek out potential employees that will fit into their respective organisations,” Mr Cornwall said.

This is the eighth year of the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management -organised event at USP in consultation with industry stakeholders.

“The majority of the students attending are double major students, which means they are currently enrolled in tourism studies combined with another major of their choice,” he said.

The other majors include management and public administration, economics, geography, marine studies, and information technology.
