The Ilaitia Rocavasiga led Handy Finance Naitasiri Northern Bulls is just a game away from making their debut in the major union.
But the 2014 Telecom B- Division champions have to beat Skipper Cup wooden spooner Lautoka in the promotion/relegation clash at Churchill Park in Lautoka on Saturday.
Veteran Bulls coach Manasa Radrotini said their 34-3 lost to BLK Nadroga during the HFC Bank Farebrother challenge had revealed many of their weakness.
“I am happy with how the boys played last Saturday and their defence was there though they did not have much time with the ball,” said Radrotini.
“Our game is going up, Nadroga with its seasoned players have made us do a lot of homework.”
The Bulls have tasted of what life is going to be like while playing in the major union.
“We have just come together two years so far playing against Lautoka is a history on its own. Most the boys that are playing in the team are playing for the first time.”
The Bulls will be banking on veteran players like former Fiji 7s halfback Lepani Nabuliwaqa, and former Flying Fijians winger Mosese Luveitasau. “The bottom line is for us to be part of the major union so we have been working on a strategy on how to tackle Lautoka. The match kicks-off at 3pm.
