The defending champions received their new set of uniforms for their annual tournament in Lautoka on October 10-11.

Border Police commanding officer Jope Ralulu says the kind gesture will boost their wives’ preparations towards the annual tournament.

“We thank the company for their support towards our wives as this is an important tournament,” said Ralulu.

“All the teams around the country will come together and the  West will be hosting it. This gesture will be an inspiration to them.” He adds the event will be a morale booster for the side to enable their wives to focus more on training for the tournament.

MRecht managing director Zoeb Khan said it was an honour to support the Border Police Wives.

“We are glad to work with Border team as we have showed our support in previous years to assist them in any way we can,” Khan said.

The Fiji Police Wives tournament is an annual event.

Five divisions will compete for top honours in netball and volleyball.

Meanwhile, Central Police Wives Association also received a boost ahead of the Fiji Police Wives Tournament earlier this month.

They received $500 from Wesram Finance.

The tournament, which brings together families of the Fiji Police Force, will be held on Fiji Day in Lautoka.
