Yue Lai Hotel has officially opened a class of its own, two level restaurant in Suva.

The restaurant situated on the  former iconic Noble House on Bau Street, has brought about a new sense of fine dining at affordable prices.

The three storey landmark was bought by a locally registered Chinese company, Fulluck Property Development Co. Limited, managing director Fu Gang Zhao.

It had undergone a facelift of $100,000 early this year, along with a name change to the building. Currently, the hotel employs about 30 staff.

“We had the soft opening in mid-August, officiated by the Prime Minister Mr Bainimarama but the grand opening will depend on the completion of the hotel rooms,” Mr Zhao said.

“Our staff are highly experienced and qualified. The chefs are from Thailand who can cook meals from sea food to any delicacy.

“It’s open to the public, please come in and try out the food at your own privacy.

“It is priced 20 per cent lower than any other restaurants around.”

There are six VIP restaurant rooms also available and the whole facility can be hired for private functions.

He noted since its opening a lot of people have dined there and business has been good.

“We thank all the relevant stakeholders like the Suva City Council, government for having faith in us to operate this restaurant.

“If all goes well for this restaurant then we might be opening another one soon but all this will depend on the customer feedback on our service and the food we provide.”

Adjacent to the restaurant is the Karaoke bar which opens from 5pm to 10pm daily with eight staff.

The spa and hotel expected to open soon will generate more employmeni.
