Natuva Opens Security Showcase

The Minister of Immigration, National Security and Defence Timoci Natuva wants more people to be aware of what his ministry can offer.
He made the comments while opening the ministry’s week-long display at the Government Service Centre in Suva.
It marked his first official engagement as the head of the ministry.
Mr Natuva urged members of the public to fully utilise this opportunity and get to know what the ministry did on a daily basis.
“To the members of the public, please enjoy this opportunity to engage and interact with us,” Mr Natuva said.
“I believe that this ministry has a lot to offer to members of the public in relation to our immigration and passport services, information on what the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, RFMF, does on a daily basis both here at home and on peacekeeping duties, the work done by our police men and women to provide a safe environment for us all and the various policy and strategic services offered by the Ministry’s headquarters”.
He said the focus of the government was to improve their service delivery.
“I urge the officers of the Ministry, the Department of Immigration, RFMF and Police to provide a conducive environment for the public to be able to fully benefit from the displays, the information and the services we will offer,” Mr Natuva said.
He also thanked the Public Service Commission for helping to showcase its services.
“I also wish to extend my thanks to the Commander of the RFMF and the Commissioner of Police for their support in making this week possible,” Mr Natuva said.
He commended the staff of the ministry and officers who would be deployed at the centre this week.
