As part of DHL Fiji Limited’s corporate social responsibility, the courier company worked at schools as their way of giving back to the community through the global volunteer day.

Each year the volunteer day committee in Fiji selects a local school which benefits either from the renovation works by company staff or donations in kind.

In their recent approach, 35 staff of DHL Nadi station visited Mulomulo Muslim Primary School in Nadi last Saturday.

The school was donated $100 worth of stationery greatly assisting the students and two computer sets.

More to this, the staff had time to paint the school’s main building and the garden stones.

The school management thanked the staff of the company for their efforts and timely assistance.

In 2013 the volunteer committee visited Lomolomo Public School in the interior of Lautoka assisting the school in fencing and painting the kindergarten.

DHL Express has a series of community projects currently running such as the Go Teach Programme where the company donates computers to schools around Fiji.

This has seen the committee donating more than 60 computer sets and stationery over the years.

These computers are upgraded from the company’s offices based in Australia and New Zealand.

DHL also assists its employees through the ‘Upstairs Programme’ providing assistance to their children to excel in their studies.
