In the Pool A match, former Rewa rep Sakeo Volivou scored the equalizer in the second spell for the Suva Veterans against Nadroga Veterans 1-1 after striker Savenca Senikau scored in the first spell.

Suva Veterans had the services of Patrick Wise (captain), goalie Sitiveni Qarau and Terry Waqaliti while Nadro had Kini Tubi, Emosi Watkins, and Mosses Bali.

In Pool B match, Nadi referee Andrew Achari scored the winner for Nadi Legends in the 15th minute to beat Navua Veterans 1-0.

NZ FFI president Mohammed Yusuf has called on fans to come out in numbers to support the annual event.

“This is the second time the tournament is being hosted with the view of giving something back to the former district and national players too,” said Yusuf.
