Coach Kate Carpenter is impressed with the duo during national trials for the Fiji Pearls at the National Netball Centre yesterday.
Carpenter said both are rich in experience and skills but have work to do.
“Both of them have a very nice set of skills and knowledge which goes hand in hand considering the history of experience playing at the international level has brought,”Carpenter said.
“They have been out of the national level for a while so they’ll have to work on conditioning and strengthening
“Aside from the experienced athletes, there are also some younger players.
“They are really eager, exciting and are just easy to work with because they’re just very approachable.”
Carpenter explained that the next step for the national side would be creating a unique Fijian game plan for the future.
“We’re looking at what is our game plan and what do we play to and everyone’s going to have some ideas on that.
“At this point we will keep the squad.
“In January when we go out for our first international, we’ll be looking at the 12 players. But looking at the moment, there’s some definite competition for spots.”
