The Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby Union will have to wait for another three weeks to know if they will host the 2015 Under-18 Tri -Nations Series 2015.

This was revealed by the manager of the Vodafone Fiji U18 team, Mikaele Sela.

The team returned from Australia yesterday. They lost all their matches – 50-15 loss to Australian Schoolboys, 58-0 to eventual winners NZ Schoolboys and the NZ Barbarians 22-16.

Sela said they had passed on their proposal to their Australian and New Zealand counterparts.

“We are waiting for Australia as they will go back to discuss and look at our proposal,” said Sela.

“New Zealand is willing to come over, however if Australia does not want to come then we might just invite South Africa or any nation to make it competitive.”

Sela said they took 10 officials with them, equivalent to Australia and some officials attended the Tri-Nations meeting.

Team coach Elemaca Ravulo said, “We need to work a lot on our set pieces, lineout and scrummaging.

“The Deans Trophy competition is not bringing up the international level in terms of skills.”

He said FSSRU should upgrade coaches at secondary schools.
